Carol Imschweiler (Posavec)


 

Carol M. Posavec, 56, of Halifax, passed away in Harrisburg, on Monday, June 13, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 2, 1954, in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of Thomas and Pauline (Witmer) Imschweiler.
Mrs. Posavec served as a Commonwealth employee with the Department of Welfare and was formerly employed by Susquehanna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as well as Manor at Susquehanna in Millersburg. She was a former EMT volunteer for Halifax Ambulance Association.
She attended St. Bernadette Catholic Church and enjoyed arts and crafts as well as reading, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving is her husband, William E. Posavec, of Halifax; a son, William E. Posavec, II, of Boiling Springs; two daughters, Michelle A. Warner of Huron, Tenn. and Melissa L. Walmer of Harrisburg; her mother, Pauline Imschweiler of Linglestown; an unborn granddaughter on the way; two brothers, William Imschweiler of Harrisburg and Frederick Imschweiler of Mt. Holly Springs; a sister, Debra Imschweiler of Linglestown; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Imschweiler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 901 High St., Duncannon, with Rev. John Trigilio, Jr., as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday evening, at the Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Rd., Harrisburg and on Friday at the church from 10 a.m., until the time of mass.
