Kathleen Walton (Havran)

Kathleen “Kathy” Marie (Walton) Havran, Class of 1972, age 67, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.  Kathy was born on Monday, December 28, 1953, in Harrisburg to Patricia Claire (Hoke) Lutz and the late Richard Allen Walton. 
Kathy’s survivors include her mother, Patricia Claire (Hoke) Lutz; her sister Carol Michele Oliveira; her niece Caitlin Nicole Oliveira and fiancé Kyle McLaughlin; her two nephews: Shane Michael Oliveira and significant other, Paris Winston, and Jaden Isaiah Figueroa; and her beloved Newfie, Lily. She is also survived by a rediscovered son, Marc Silverstein, of Holland, PA; her three newly- discovered grandchildren; and a precious great grandson. She was able to reconnect with Marc and his family, after being separated by adoption for nearly 50 years.
Kathy graduated from Central Dauphin High School as part of the class of 1972 and earned an Associated Degree from Harrisburg Area Community College.  She retired as a Financial Analyst from Highmark Blue Cross in Camp Hill, in 2017.  She was a very active member of Obedience Training Class of Harrisburg New-Penn-Del Newfoundland Club and the Newfoundland Club of American. Kathy was a lifelong member of Penbrook United Church of Christ in Harrisburg.  Kathy’s passion was Newfoundland dogs; over the years, she had five.  She loved taking them to dog shows.  Kathy always looked beautiful, making sure her hair and nails were just right.  She loved sail boating, and at one time was a scuba diver.  Kathy will be remembered as a spirited, spunky woman – a real firecracker.
